Canoe Museum Enters New Phase

The Minnesota Canoe Museum is entering a new phase as we embark on establishing a permanent site in Ely, MN.

For years, we have benefited from our partnership with the thriving Ely Folk School to exhibit canoes. Now, with our substantial inventory, we are ready to expand into a new space that will accommodate a steady flow of visitors to the Museum.

“Our goal is to enable folks to see and experience these canoes up close, and to really have a chance to soak them in,” said Erica Stock Williams, MCM Board member.

We want to develop a world-class educational experience that promotes the area year-round, serves the community, and contributes to the economic growth of Ely and Minnesota tourism.

The Museum is embarking on a $25,000 end-of-year goal to enable the transition. Help us get there and make a donation today!

The Museum is an IRS 501(c)(3) organization, and any donations are tax-deductible.
